Idea for Everyday Display Board

Thanks to Carole B for submitting these ideas that she did on her NEW Everyday Display Board, she earned as a host of the Snowman Workshop in January.

Vellum expression says: A baby boy has a special way of adding joy in every single day.

Vellum expression says: There is nothing like the blessing of a bouncing baby boy. He'll fill your home with energy and touch your heart with joy. He'll hug you and bug you and try you within. But each precious memory you'll treasure again and again.

Thanks to Eli for being an adorable model! :)

Hope you enjoy your "warm" day today because it looks like more snow is on the way! AHHH!

Regional Meeting

I had a wonderful day last Saturday at the Regional meeting in Springfield! Thanks to Katie, Kay and Naomi for taking the time to come with me! It was so exciting to see the new products launched!

The Simply Beautiful Power Palette is just that... simply beautiful. Vibrant colors, beautiful letters, impressive sticker embellishments. It includes matching paper ribbons, paper flowers, and paper tags.
The new power sort box is now ONE box, a just right size, which holds 1200 photos, and includes the same memorabilia pocket inside the cover. It also has a beautiful design on the cover.
The new record-able paper album kit is beautiful and is a wonderful gift to brighten someone's day or to send a message to those far away. It can hold up to a 20 second message.

I will be showing these new items at Kara's workshop on Saturday. I will also have a SALE table that includes, paper, stickers and other items. I hope you can stop by to see the new products and to check out the sale table.

Hope to see you soon!

Digital and Traditional Tips of the Week

To enable the thumbnails of your photos in your media library to come up faster..........

Click on the Welcome Page in MM 3.0. Check that you have clicked on a vault then...

Click on "Show me more details"

Click on "Support"

Change maximum space for thumbnails to 1000MB (probably set on 50). If you don't have a lot of space on your computer, you might need to put it on 500-750MB. This will enable your thumbnails of your photos to come up MUCH FASTER!!!!

Emptying the Recycle Bin with your deleted photos can free up used space!

Did you know that when you "delete" photos from your memory vault in 3.0 that they are really still in a recycle bin?? Well, I didn't either. This is good news in case you accidentally delete something! You can go back and get it. You just need to remember to empty it on a regular basis. Click on "See recycle bin" - on the same page that you just adjusted your thumbnails. Then click "delete items".If you want to restore some items from the recycle bin, go to the Vault ribbon in your Media Library and click on "undelete items".

Every Friday Morning Starting March 1st-

Every Friday Morning Starting March 1st until June 11th, I will be holding 1/2 Day Workshops here in my Dining Room. They run from 9-12 the fee for these is only $5.- There are a few dates that it won't be held due to vacations or previous commitments ( April 23rd and 30th). I hope that you can come on a regular basis and this helps you all get more pages completed.

And because I have heard that a post isn't fun without pictures........

Its a Snow Day Challenge

Happy Snow Day Everyone!-

Because most of us are couped up in our homes today and many of us have children home from school, why not take advantage of this and get some scrapbooking done. For every 2 sides you complete your name will be entered for a chance to win $50.00 in free products. Do you need a new album or other supplies? Remember that the more you get completed, the more chances for you to win the free products. This is for traditional scrapbooking and digital scrapbooking. For those of us with small children, you are probably thinking how can I do this with them home? Well we all have extra pictures that we don't use in our books, instead of throwing them out why not give your children the pictures and some paper and stickers and let them create right beside you. Yesterday at my workshop Landon did a small album and is so proud of his completed book. Wade is bugging me to get one started this morning! They love pictures too! So get start and get counting! Email or call with the number of pages completed by 9:00 tonight and the winner will be announced tomorrow! Have fun and HAPPY SCRAPPING!

Digital and Traditional Tips of the Week

Digital Tip:

How to "rip" your digital paper: Add selected paper to your work area. Go to Cut and Fill tab, click on the arrow below the straight option, it will bring up several different choices for cutting the edge of the paper. Select Paper Rip, this will bring up a options box that will allow you to choose how big of a tear you will see and how "random" the rip will look. I usually choose the option on the left side that says 'Cut around the shaded area'. This will give you two pieces of ripped paper to work with.

Traditional Tip: When using the Precision Piont Adhesive, it is helpful to have a damp paper towel to wipe away any of the "seepage" between your two pieces of paper/ embellishments.

Regional Speaker

Just wanted you all to know that Joyce Kloter, (my Upline) is speaking at Regionals in Chicago this Saturday. It is really exciting for her to be asked to have a 10 minute speech. She is talking about doing the things that fill our balloons and not focusing on the things that deflate our balloons. I wish I could be there but it didn't work out. I will be attending our local Regional meeting next Saturday the 13th. I will see the new catalog and products launched. I look forward to some more digital training and other tips that Creative Memories has for me. I will update everyone after the 13th.

Scrapbooking Tips of the week!

Traditional Tip: The rotary blades on the new 12" Rotary Trimmer last for 1500 cuts each. The cutting strip in the trimmer will last for 1200 and can easily be replaced with a new mat.

Digital Tip: Cutting pictures into shapes- First place the picture you want to cut on you work area. Right click on the picture and "Flatten" the picture. Click on your picture again and go up to the Cut and Fill tab on your activity bar. Select the shapes option and choose the shape you want. A small work box will pop up, choose the option that says: Erase the shaded area and now you have your picture in a custom shape!

Enjoy your day!

Happy birthday today to Kara!
